Wanderer

Outfit Details
Wanderer Lace Dress
Scarf- Vintage
Boots- Jeffrey Campbell

I will always be deeply in love with the silhouette of a shapeless dress and bell sleeves.  I ordered this dress, overnighted it the second I saw it.   I have the original version of it, which is a floral print but a little heavier and better for fall, found here: Wanderer Mini Dress.  I just can't get over the high neck and perfect lightweight lace of this piece.  It's great when adding a belt, scarf, or even a statement necklace.  I can't wait to ride around in this all summer, and take it out dancing every night.

What better way to celebrate Summer than an inflatable pool in your front yard?  Especially when the Springs and Beaches are crowded... and to boot you can wear whatever you like.

I've had my eye out for a good crochet halter for weeks now and when Pylo posted this on their Instagram I jumped on it.  So perfect for high rise skirts, shorts or jeans.  I can't wait to pair it with Flares and Clogs, along with vintage glasses.  This skirt was also a must have for me this summer.  I'm so in love with denim but some days are just far too warm for my bells, and this is a great substitute.  Looking for a really good suede one as well!

As for the photo set, this was definitely the most fun shoot we've done.  We got together with Devin this week to pull swim suits for the local magazine, Void and decided we'd play.  Dev just set up this pool in her front yard on memorial weekend.  There was also a great van parked right outside of her house!  A perfect set up for a Summer Shoot.  So happy with how these turned out!

Summer State of Mind

    Untitled

Outfit Details:
Melia Striped Brief
Halter Leotard
Shirt: Vintage
Sunglasses: Vintage

Over the past few weeks my heart has been growing full of Summer ideas.  I'm going to paint longboard skateboards with my room mate to cruse down A1A, work harder on my fitness and eating right, and make sure to discover uncharted land.  That's what Kelly and I did this week.  Florida is known for it's beautiful springs, and I've been going since I was a kid but there are so many to explore!  Kelly had never been so we took the opportunity (and rarity of us both having a day off together) to go on an adventure!  The Spring was absolutely breathtaking.

For the shoot we decided to go with 1970's vacation.  I feel like my shorts get shorter and shorter as the heavy heat approaches.  I'm absolutely in love with these briefs though!  So retro and amazingly comfortable.  After getting them wet they didn't even stretch out.  I'm sure we looked crazy walking through the woods with our hawaiins on, but it didn't matter.  We had an amazing day and to date one of my favorite shoots.  Get in your Summer State of Mind everyone!

Under The Palms

Outfit Details:
Drippy Crochet Inset Maxi
Bravestarr Harness Vest
Matador Hat
Boots: Pskaufman

There's nothing quite as beautiful as the feeling of Summer in Florida.  Although it may not be technically "Summer" yet, it's alive with glory here and I couldn't be happier.

Bringing out all of my white, lightweight pieces makes for a hard decision in the morning but I always know I'm making the right one.  Between comfortability and feeling like a boho goddess where can you go wrong?  Of course I will still wear boots no matter what the weather, and these Pskaufman babies are the stuff dreams are made of.

So happy to be back on my outfit post game!  Trying to make sure I post at least once a week <3

Washed Ashore

Outfit Details:
Crochet Monokini
Spell Stag Amulet Kimono
Rounders Sunglass
Urban Renewal Shorts

I'm so happy to be back on the blog game!  Sorry for the recent MIA, I've been super busy which is a good thing considering.  Working full time as the Visual for Free People Jacksonville has me constantly being creative and my mind soaring.  I also just finished a project for a wonderful company, Proof Eyewear, and Kelly and I will be featured on their blog so more to come on that soon!

With all of the running around and projects Kelly and I decided to have a beach/taco day and just relax.  Unfortunately we can't relax and we have to shoot.  The morning was dark on the beach, overcast yet beautiful.  I felt so sexy in my new flowy Spell Kimono and my favorite monokini from last year.  I think I'll continue investing in crochet monokinis this year.  This one has served me well.  I also re-purchased this pair of sunglasses.  I lost my old ones at a festival early this spring and couldn't live any longer without them.

Until next time!

Crimson Zarr

Untitled

Outfit Details:
Oh Valencia Caftan
Necklace: Vintage

Somewhere in a far away meadow, I got to play princess with Crimson Zarr.

Kelly and I have been talking for ages about how much we would love to shoot with a horse.  This week, thanks to my lovely parents, we were able to.  A family friend owns this gorgeous ranch and a small meadow where the darling Crimson Zarr lives.  I'm so inspired by her name.  It speaks of passion and strength and that is exactly what this horse was.

Also, how amazing is this caftan?  I've been eyeing it for weeks now but it was sold out online for the longest time.  As soon as I saw my size restocked I dropped everything and ordered it.  You can wear it as a beach cover up, or as I did, to just dance around in a field with horses.  I'm so happy to share these photos with you.

Nikki
